Rugosa rose from Port Kells via Langley

We dug up four shoots from the back of my sister inlaw's property in Langley. They are rugosa roses with beautiful red coloured flowers. They were scheduled to be dug up by the City of Langley to make way for a sewage line. We are fortunate to be able to save a few shoots for ourselves. We hope to get some rose hips next year .

Small sunflower makes its appearance. They seem to be getting smaller every year.
We transplanted our hydrangeas to a shadier area of our garden.

Some pears from Langley.

Pear sauce ready to be frozen.
