Local apples

A gift of apples from quilting circle member
During late summer, I often receive apples from a member's garden. I make sauce for freezing and the peelings end up in our compost. Sometimes, the seeds sprout and we get several varieties of young apple trees. The sauce is used in pies, torts, soups and deserts. We appreciate our thoughtful member.
